How Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Are Transforming Healthcare

Artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), bots, and automation are becoming more and
more part of our everyday lives. You may not realize how frequently we use and benefit from these
technologies.

Ask Siri about today’s weather forecast – check. Launch Uber to look for a ride – check. Search for
an interesting new series on Netflix – check. Tag a friend on Snapchat – check. Each of these
applications uses some form of AI to better understand and assist you. The applications have
previously learned about your voice, travel patterns, TV show preferences, or even your close friends
and family members and applied that knowledge to personalize your experience.
Imagine similar tools that make your job easier in the workplace instead of improving an aspect of
your personal life. At Kepro, we are developing Collaborative Intelligence that combines our staff's
clinical and administrative talent with machines' speed and automation ability.

Collaborative Intelligence will benefit the way our company operates in four areas:

  1. Increase Operational Efficiency – reduce the time to review and process clinical notes,
medical records, invoices, and other documents to improve the speed and efficiency of day-to-day
    work.
  2. Improve Staff and Customer Experience – reduce repetitive manual work such as data
extraction and entry and enable clinical staff to focus on higher-value analysis and decision making.
  3.  Improve Quality and Consistency – decrease manual tasks prone to human error through
automated workflows that provide greater accuracy over time.
  4. Drive Enhanced Insight – collect and analyze a wide range of clinical, administrative and
operations data to predict trends, improve performance, and automate repetitive tasks.

Our technology, operations, and administrative teams are working together to develop applications
and workflows that embrace collaborative intelligence to transform Kepro’s business and enable our
staff and customers to benefit from AI and automation.

It has been a tremendously rewarding experience seeing firsthand how automation is making it
easier to collaborate and bring a holistic, transformative approach to the care we provide.
