Kepro Appoints Melissa Leigh as General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer

NASHVILLE, TN – KEPRO announced today the appointment of Melissa Leigh as General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer. In this newly created role, Leigh will lead KEPRO’s in-house legal, compliance and risk management functions.

With more than 20 years of experience in the health care, technology and government sectors, Ms. Leigh will provide guidance to the business on matters including governance, M&A, litigation, commercial, regulatory and employment.   She also will work cross-functionally with leaders across the enterprise to provide counsel on risk management and contracting strategies that lead to optimal business performance, compliance and client success.

Prior to joining KEPRO, Ms. Leigh worked for Intermedix Corporation for over five years where she held various leadership positions. At Intermedix, Ms. Leigh led complex diligence and acquisition activities and refocused in-house legal workflows to optimize internal efficiencies and reduce external legal spending. She was also responsible for the realignment of compliance resources across the enterprise to assure availability of resources to high-growth and high-risk business functions, as well as, assembled a multi-disciplinary team to deploy first all-hazards risk assessments, business continuity and risk communication framework.

In July of 2018, Ms. Leigh was named Female Health IT Leaders to Know by Becker’s Hospital Review. Ms. Leigh graduated from Pace University School of Law where she received her Juris Doctor and Certificate in Environmental Law magna cum laude. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from New York University, Robert F. Wagner School of Public Services.
